Join us March 21 – 23, 2019 as we host our 7th International Bieannial Conference in Lexington, KY! This year’s theme is On the Right Track and our Keynote speaker will be Mike Studer.
Mike Studer, PT, MHS, NCS, CEEAA, CWT, CSST received his physical therapy degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1991. He received his post-professional MHS degree in physical therapy with neurologic emphasis from the University of Indianapolis. He has been board-certified as a Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy since 1995 and has been designated a Certified Exercise Expert in the Aging Adult (CEEAA) by the Academy of Geriatric PT since 2011. He is a full-time treating therapist at and founder of Northwest Rehabilitation Associates, in Ore
gon. Mr. Studer has presented courses and published articles on neurologic and geriatric rehabilitation since 1995 and has authored and co-authored over 25 articles on topics of neurology and geriatrics, as well as several book chapters on stroke, PD, and preventative care as well. Mike is now regularly a guest lecturer on a national and international basis at several universities and national meetings on the topics of balance, motor control, motor learning, cognitive impairment and case management.
Another of our planned speakers will be Rhonda A. Rathgeber, PhD, DVM. Dr Rathgeber is from Virginia and attended the University of Florida for a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She attended Washington State University for a PhD in Veterinary Anatomy and Locomotion. Her thesis studied the effects of different racetrack surfaces on Thoroughbred horses. She then attended Virginia Tech to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She joined Hagyard in 1995 and was one of the first two women to become Members of the Practice. Dr. Rathgeber is the Director of the Sport Horse Program. She has a special interest in acupuncture, lameness and imaging.

The American Hippotherapy Association, Inc. (AHA, Inc.) is soliciting conference presentations for its 2019 conference, “On The Right Track.”
Conference presentations can cover, but are not limited to
Research projects investigating hippotherapy
New or traditional treatment techniques incorporated with hippotherapy techniques
Skills and techniques for working with horses in a thera-
Selection and training ideas for the therapy horse
Business topics pertinent to therapists utiliz-
Insurance and third party funding issues, hints, tips and traps
Issues and potential solutions related to treating spe-
cific impairments or functional limitations using hippo-therapy
Other topics that inform physicians and funders about hippotherapy
Theoretical discussions as they relate to hippotherapy in OT, PT, and SLP
During the conference there will be designated times for Authors to present their Posters to conference attendees. Posters with special merit will be announced during the Saturday afternoon Awards luncheon

Poster Presenter Registration Fee
Poster presenters with accepted Posters will all receive a $25 coupon to use towards conference registration. Coupons are granted for up to 2 authors per a poster. If multiple submissions (Posters or Abstracts) are accepted, only 1 discount will be granted to any presenter.
You will be notified beginning February 15th 1019 via e-mail as to the status of your submission.
